Khaki Cables...

All done! The frog closure was left off, and instead a separating zipper was used.

Lovely sweater and I really appreciate the yarn review. It's nice to have some opinions when you're looking at a new yarn.

Very nice!! I like the quilt in the background, too.

Thanks also for the yarn review. It's good to know!

Beautiful. What a cool idea for the seperating zipper. Was it hard to put in with the yarn?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. To ldsvenus - no, it was fairly easy to insert the zip. I used doubled sewing thread that matched the yarn, pinned it in, then handsewed it to the fronts. Due to the loft of the yarn the thread pretty much disappears and is not really visible from the front. Just takes a little extra time and care, but works very well.

Very nice - I like the zipper much better than the frog closure (frogs on an aran?)

Also appreciate the yarn review. I've been looking at the Webs house yarns, but haven't tried any yet.

Diane -- I hope to 'test drive' Webs' Longmeadow soon -- it's a 60/40 cotton/microfiber blend. Hard to resist all the house brands with their very attractive prices! I'm hoping in the future that others will chime in with their experiences with various private label yarns.
